ChromaDiverse Secures Ownership to Major Photographic Collection
Margaret Elizabeth Schnare (aka Marbeth,1931-2006), a major photographic artist, provided a vivid portrait of various dance, opera organizations and cultural figures throughout her life. Marbeth’s photography reveals the grittiness of backstage life, to the sharp focused glossiness of performance. With a keen eye, she captured the artist forever in one perfect magical moment in time.

The Ronn Guidi Foundation for Dance, Oakland Ballet Company, and Chromadiverse partner to build a Living Archive.
Chromadiverse is now collecting artist and performance names as the foundation for cataloguing OBC’s history. Many thanks to Julie Lowe, Gianna Davy, Bat Abbit, Kari Gim and Ron Thiele for helping us with this valuable starting point for the “ChromaDiverse Digital Vault.”
