Wendy Whelan, Artistic Director, New York City Ballet
We are excited to announce that our book, Dance Theatre of Harlem: A History, A Movement, A Celebration (Dafina/Kensington 2021), by Judy Tyrus and Paul Novosel, is available in hardcover everywhere.

Our award-winning team is receiving wonderful recognition from the Society of American Archivists with the “Diversity Award 2021” and an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Literary Work Nonfiction for our book.

We are thrilled to welcome the Ronn Guidi Foundation for Dance, and Oakland Ballet Company as partners in building the Company a unique Living Archive.
The OBC Legacy Project, a collaboration between the Ronn Guidi Foundation for Dance, Oakland Ballet Company, and ChromaDiverse, was launched May 1, 2022, to preserve, access and leverage the important works of this world-renowned dance company.
